All of the materials that are used in the making on this softcover version are recycled and thus, diverted from landfills. The book is also handcrafted as to cut down on carbon emissions that are used in the binding and softcover creation. The book is also serial numbered on the opening and closing coloured blanks.
A painting has been said to tell a story. If the painting is cut into pieces, can those pieces then be referred to as ‘words?’
This is the simplified question that A Conversation in Pictures #3 asks the reader. By placing pictures in a series, with punctuation, is it possible that those segments of colour, shape and line tell us a story? Does the addition of punctuation assume the story for us?
Like the name of the collective that produced this book, the story can be seen as acting out something like a theatrical production. Placing a context that these images are conversing may be the only way the concept is actuated.
