SYNOPSIS: Cul-de-sac Diaries is a collection of 100 poems that looks for unusual or bizarre relationships between things in our lives. Peter J. Dellolio uses language as a way of conjuring images that are essentially surreal. He attempts to find ways of making language emulate the imagery in the paintings of Dali and Magritte. His work continues a form of surrealism that was initiated in the 1920s and 30s by the French surrealist writer Andre Breton.
