If you in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, head downtown to HOME bakehouse & cafe (356 Queen Street East) on Thursday, August 21, between 4 and 7 p.m. to get a chance to see ‘Agathe, 6:00 p.m. to 7:27‘ as well the other Lost Telegram Press releases.
The author will not be in attendance but it is a chance to purchase the book and talk to the publisher.
HOME bakehouse & cafe is generous enough to host this launch and some amazing blues music will be provided by The Preacher from 5-6 p.m. It’s great to have support for events of this type since publishing is such a struggling industry. Although the relationships that have been made through Lost Telegram Press are definitely not an indicator that this is a struggle.
Even though the amount of tasks that need to be done; printing, binding, marketing, taking submissions, promotional printing, website maintenance, shipping, accounting, and much more can seem so daunting when done by only two people, it has really been a pleasure so far. If this is a sign of what is to come, this will only be growing and prospering for years to come.
