Mykyta Ryzhykh‘s concrete poetry chapbook tombboy has been recognized by another online journal called The Gravity of the Thing, based out of Oregon.
The Gravity of the Thing is an independent publisher of defamiliarized creative writing. Its features have been anthologized in Best Small Fictions, noted in the Best American series, and finalists in the Shirley Jackson Awards. Its mission is to publish work that defamiliarizes, writing that experiments and stranges in pursuit of a renewed sense of discovery.
The journal is also going to feature tombboy in its newsletter, if you are a member. It has published Ryzhykh’s work several times in the past. So thank you to The Gravity of the Thing for the publicity!
