Both John Biscello and Peter Dellolio have been in the news recently for their books with Lost Telegram Press.
John’s book The Last Furies was heralded by writer Amy Boaz in the Taos News. Her article and review of the book is called ‘Fairy tale for the dispossessed’ for our times. Amy’s highly descriptive review brings one “to follow the characters down a rabbit hole, or a black hole, as Biscello describes, ‘where the closer you get to its mysterious center, the slower time runs, and eventually you reach the point of no return … the atomizing tantalus of the abyss.’
Many thanks to Amy Boaz for writing the piece about John’s work.
Peter Dellolio has also been successful in getting some press for his other book coming out soon called That’s Where You Go & Other Short Stories. This one is not being published by Lost Telegram Press.
As the review in Book Review Cafe goes: “each story felt like slipping into someone else’s skin. I found myself holding my breath at times, feeling like an invisible observer in rooms thick with tension, longing, or secrets.”
Dellolio was also mentioned in the Democracy Chronicles for his book being published by Lost Telegram Press in the next few months. There he calls Cul-de-sac Diaries “filled with whimsy and irrational images, using language to try and create a literary version of a Dali or Magritte painting.”
John’s book launch was tonight in Taos and his Canadian launch will be on Saturday. We will try to bring some news from those events. Thanks for reading.
