As soon as the call for submissions opened, we got quite a number of projects which we were happy to look at and consider. It is difficult because, really all submissions have merit and qualities but what it comes down to is, the ones that don’t get selected are judged mostly because of technical, legal or copyright issues. But anyway, I thought these pie charts would be interesting to those in the industry. They are to us anyway…

This first one is a pie chart based on the country of residence for the submission. It is not necessarily the nationality. More submissions come from the U.S. but keep in mind that the population is almost 10 times that of Canada.

And this second pie chart is the genre or type of submission. The ‘mixed’ category simply represents submissions that are not one genre such as a mix of poetry and art or short stories and art.
Anyway we thought this was an interesting look back on the last several months as this year is rolling along. We were expecting to get two softcover books out this year and at this point, we have three softcover books, an electronic book, two audio books and more coming this summer and fall.
Stay tuned.
June 15 2025 Hi Christopher
Glad you’re still experimenting. I’m still dealing with the shock of my husband’s death in March as well as cracked ribs from a fall. I’m told grief lessens with time and cracked ribs will heal if I keep moving rather than sit still. So I’m cleaning house as I can manage at the moment.
Keep on arting and best to you and your sweet etceteras!
