John Biscello, writer of The Last Furies will continue his west coast readings with a new stop in February at La Matador Gallery, in addition to his two readings in January in Los Angeles.
Here is the press release:
An Eclectic Invitational Curated by Erin Currier, Joshua Tree, CA — Transient Nature, a luminous group exhibition curated by artist Erin Currier, explores the beauty of impermanence and the quiet power of presence. Opening February 14, 2026 at La Matadora Gallery, the exhibition unfolds as a poetic meditation on love, change, and the cycles that shape both the natural world and the human heart.
Inspired by Buddhist concepts of impermanence and the “continuous present,” Transient Nature invites viewers to reflect on cycles of nature, human experience, and the quiet ways love persists through transformation. The exhibition brings together a dynamic international roster of artists working across painting, drawing, mixed media, fabric, and sculptural forms, each offering a distinct meditation on change, beauty, and renewal.
Participating artists include: Tony Abeyta, Guido Baldini, Russell Belue, Erin Currier, Leah Garcia, Colleena Hake, Jodie Herrera, Annie Lopez, Brandon Maldonado, Kristine McCallister, Toby Morfin, Irene Hardwicke Olivieri, Matt Thomas, Michel Vecchi, Jim Vogel, and Izumi Yokoyama.
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 14, 2026 | 6–9 PM
An evening of art, music, and spoken word featuring performances by John Biscello, Colleena Hake, and Rachel Reid Wilkie, with a DJ throughout the evening.
