It has been an exciting week or so for Lost Telegram Press as Dianne Reeves Angel had both her first Tahoe City book launch, which was almost a sellout and a review published as well as Taylor Thornburg‘s novel being reviewed.
In Synchronized Chaos Cristina Deptula writes: “there’s often a dirtier, menacing, or just more ordinary underbelly to the tales,” in her review. “This world is also unpredictable: the most hilarious, creative, heartfelt, or meaningful projects can be suddenly cancelled on a whim, even after filming has started. The suspense adds mystery and texture to the chapters, as we find ourselves reading some of the short vignettes over to see if we missed any clues to what was really happening.”
The Third Coast Review also wrote about Taylor Thornburg‘s novel recently in “Review: Taylor Thornburg’s Agathe 6:00 p.m. to 7:27 Is an Intriguing Tour Through Memory.” Adam Kaz, who gave the novel 3 of 4 stars, writes that “the debut somewhat resembles a romantic mystery novel… However, Thornburg isn’t interested in genres and may disappoint readers looking for the accoutrements of either a mystery or romance. Rather than. an investigation, Agathe 6:00 p.m. to 7:27 is a flashback book wherein the reader rides shotgun as our protagonist reviews her memories…”
Thanks to Adam Kaz, Cristina Deptula, Synchronized Chaos and the Third Coast Review for the endorsement and lovely promotions.
