Well it’s Labour Day in Canada and the U.S. but we are still working at Lost Telegram Press. The audio version of The Last Furies by John Biscello was released early yesterday, here, as well as on kobo, which also distributes all of our audio and e-books. And today we are starting production of the softcover version of John’s book.
We were up late last night doing the final edits to some typos and minor design changes. Today we will be printing the text block for all of the copies that John needs for his launch in New Mexico. Over the week we will be adding the end papers, as well as binding, trimming and sealing all of those copies to ship out.
We will be having a Canadian launch as well and are in the midst of planning that. But these are the events that John has already booked in New Mexico:
The Taos Center for the Arts, in the Encore Gallery (133 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte) will be hosting John’s book launch on October 9th at 6 p.m.. The event will be comprised of readings from The Last Furies, book signings and a performance from Art of Flying. Rolling Stone magazine listed Art of Flying as one of its ‘bands to watch’ from New Mexico. This is a free event.
Then at the Teatro Paraguas (3205 Calle Marie Suite B) on November 16th at 5 p.m. John will also be reading from The Last Furies and signing books. This is also a free event.
We would like to thank Louis Greenstein and Johanna DeBiase, who were most gracious in helping us out by providing reviews of The Last Furies so that we could have some quotes to place on the back cover as well as in our marketing.
