There is a lot to be happy about at Lost Telegram Press. We had the Canadian launch for Taylor Thornburg’s Agathe, 6:00 p.m. to 7:27 recently and the response was better than anticipated. Taylor is also still going strong in Chicago promoting the book and has more events coming up, as well as some that are still running.

In a city with a population hovering around 75,000, Sault Ste. Marie, where we recently held the Canadian launch for Agathe, can be quite barren in the summer months. But the response to the event at HOME bakehouse & cafe (which was an amazing place to have the launch) and those that attended made it enjoyable and worthwhile.
The Preacher gave an intimate performance of his blues virtuosity and it was great to see some old friends, who have been producing art in Northern Ontario for many years.
Thanks to Fermata Press for promoting our site and saying such nice things online about the quality of the books!
Taylor will be reading at a release event for Nightcore (Borametz Press) at The Whistler in Chicago on September 9th, with Logan Berry, Emory Brigden, Sue Cardenas-Soto, Gwen Hilton and Natasha Lasky.
He also is still hosting/curating Quimby’s After Hours events at Quimby’s Bookstore (1854 W. North Ave.) Writers and creators like Tommy Bien, ethan, Dylan Gann, Gretchen Shull, Nish Ahmed, Rivka Yeker, Jacob Stovall and Lemmy Ya’akova have been participating.
Stay tuned for news about John Biscello’s novel. We decided on the cover art and are very close to the release of his book.
